What we are recruiting for:

We are currently recruiting for a Digital Construction Manager (BIM Management specialist) to join our Regional Construction business based out of Birmingham.

You will be the focal point for project-specific BIM and Digital Construction deliverables from tender to completion. The role involves working with teams, design consultants, subcontractors, and clients to plan and execute digital deliverables for Bovis and the project.

As part of our Digital Engineering community, this role is key to our digital innovation strategy, transforming processes, people, and project delivery.

• Consultant appointments – Collaborate with Construction teams to appoint consultants with BIM obligations, including capability assessments.
• Subcontractor appointment – Assist in appointing subcontractors with BIM scopes and capability assessments.
• Implementing BIM – Enforce project BIM strategy, workflows, and BEP, ensuring progressive development.
• Audit – Review and audit BIM at key milestones; prepare reports.
• Meetings – Chair BIM meetings as project BIM Lead.
• Reporting – Provide regular updates on BIM activities to stakeholders.
• Visualisation – Deliver visuals to support tasks and scopes.
• Training – Identify and deliver BIM training as needed.
• Design – Work with design teams to ensure BIM requirements are incorporated and design information is robust.
• Safety – Support safety initiatives through BIM functionalities.
• Logistics – Optimize site logistics using model information.
• Clash Management – Identify and log design clashes for resolution.
• Quantity Take-off – Link model quantities to cost estimates.
• Commercial – Document BIM value contributions to project outcomes.
• Procurement – Support procurement with BIM scope packaging.
• 4D – Assist in creating construction sequences and logistics planning.
• Asset Management – Collaborate on asset information models at handover.
• Sustainability – Support data delivery for sustainability targets.
• Information Management – Coordinate with the Information Manager for data control and distribution.

Experience & Background:

• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks Manage, Synchro, Solibri.
• Experience with BIM/3D project delivery.
• Knowledge of ISO 19650 and UK BIM standards.
• CSCS card holder.
• Deep understanding of the construction industry.
• Strategic and visionary thinking.
• Ability to build trust and maintain relationships.
• Understanding of project sequencing and duration.
• Experience in pre-construction planning and bid teams.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.
• Flexibility in working methods and adapting to project needs.
• Ability to ensure work package delivery and meet commercial targets.
