A leading security firm is seeking a Detention Custody Officer (DCO) to ensure the safety and security of residents in custody. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure. Candidates must hold a valid UK passport and have a manual driving licence. Successful applicants will undergo a 4-week training course and receive ongoing personal development. Attractive benefits include an apprenticeship program, discounts, and recognition awards.
Salary: £32,635 per annum
Hours: 42 hours per week - 4 on 4 off rotating shift pattern
Please note you must be able to remain in France for the duration of your 4 on shift pattern, there is no provision to travel back to the UK during this period. Accommodation, meals, and travel is provided.
You must have a UK valid in-date passport or settled status in UK (indefinite leave to remain is not classed as settled status) and must have held a UK manual car driver’s licence for 1 year.

Your new role as DCO will require you to work in a holding room where you will ensure the safety and security of the residents in your custody.
No specific role experience or qualifications are required to be a DCO as full training and supported development are given. Experience of dealing sensitively with a wide variety of people who have been agitated, confused or angry would be an advantage.
You’ll begin your Care & Custody career completing a 4 week initial training course. Please note that this course may be in a separate location to the role. This will develop the skills needed to professionally deliver this rewarding, sometimes challenging role with integrity and respect.
Once you have passed our selection and vetting process, you’ll begin your Care & Custody career completing a 4-week initial training course (ITC), continuing your development over the next 12 months with on the job mentoring and assessments to gain our accredited Level 3 apprenticeship in Detention and Custody.
