Job description

This is a key operational role in the Control Room, reporting to the Duty Process Manager, as part of a team responsible for the coordination of the Linehaul vehicles transitioning on site. Also pivotal in the day‑to‑day management of the Ryton based Linehaul drivers.

Key Role Responsibilities

• Understand and interpret Linehaul schedules as produced by the Linehaul Planners.
• Matching of drivers to schedules.
• Production of outbound loads and load manifests for driver despatch purposes.
• Briefing and debriefing of site-based drivers including agency drivers.
• Downloading of Digicards and production of infringement letters if relevant.
• Completion of Agency Declaration Forms and Agency Hours Forms.
• Allocation and recording of vehicles issued.
• Processing of vehicle defect notes in line with legal and company policy requirements.
• Vehicles inbound and outbound processes via Yard Management System.
• Movement and positioning of load units on site via Yard Management System.
• Liaison with warehouse staff regarding inbound and outbound loads.
• Production of internal operational reports as required

Experience gained in a similar role

• Outstanding communication skills and be able to commute in writing and verbally with confidence with stakeholders at all levels
• High levels of competency in computer literacy skills, specifically being able to use Microsoft Office software packages i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook
