A healthcare provider in the UK is looking for a Deputy Charge Nurse/Sister for Critical Care. This role involves leading the unit during absences, ensuring compliance with hospital protocols, and supporting governance processes. Candidates should possess strong critical care knowledge, a mentorship qualification, and at least 3 years of recent experience in a critical care setting. The position offers a salary of £38,682 per year, with internal rotation duties across ITU and HDU.

Our Critical Care department are looking to recruit two Deputy Charge, Band 6, for a rotational post through ITU and HDU to become competent in caring for level 2 and level 3 patients and able to work days and nights on an internal rotation basis.
You will have strong leadership qualities and an advanced level of critical care knowledge with a minimum of 3 years recent experience within the Critical Care environment, hold an advanced Critical Care qualification and be a motivated individual with a vision of how to take the Critical Care services forward.

Your role will be to act as team leader including taking charge of the unit in the absence of a Senior Speciality Sister/Charge Nurse and be responsible for the effective deployment of Critical Care resources including manpower, adhere to the Nursing and Midwifery Code of Practice at all times and must ensure Critical Care's compliance with and application of hospital policies and procedures.
You will also support the development, implementation and monitoring of Governance systems in Critical Care relating to Risk Management, Health and Safety and Controls Assurance, ensure that an individual programme of care is planned, implemented and evaluated for each patient within your sphere of responsibility, and participate in all relevant aspects of the Governance process.
