Job summary

A large integrated health board is offering a Dental Core Trainee Year 1 position in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. This is a full-time fixed term post starting on 4th March 2026 and ending on 1st September 2026, based at the University Dental Hospital in Wales. The role involves diverse responsibilities including assisting in consultant clinics, A&E, and performing surgical procedures, focusing on areas such as orthognathic surgery and TMJ disorders. Applicants must have a BDS or equivalent and clinical governance experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months postgraduate clinical experience by post commencement.
• Employ evidence of career progression consistent with personal circumstances.
• Current experience within Oral Maxillofacial Surgery.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Consultant clinics and various departmental engagements.
• Participate in A&E duties as required.
• Conduct operative procedures under supervision.
