The successful candidate will assist residents with personal care and daily activities, promoting independent living. Experience is preferred, but empathy and a willingness to help are more important. The Priory Kalmia & Mallowa re looking to recruit a Support Worker to join their team at their site based in Watton, Thetford.
Kalmia and Mallow is located in the town of Watton, Norfolk. It offers residential support for 13 people who are on the autism spectrum or have a learning disability, who may also have complex needs. We are located off the main road into Watton. Our team are dedicated to providing the people we care for with opportunities to enjoy a wide range of social and recreational activities. We want to encourage our residents to live as independently as possible so they can achieve the best possible outcomes.
It would be ideal if you have previous experience gained in a similar role. However whilst this is valuable, we are looking for individuals who display the right values and behaviours in order to make a difference to people’s lives. You should be keen to learn and show compassion to care for the people we support.
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents\' wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future.
Your positive attitude and passion for providing high quality care and support will be your key strengths, but you\'ll also have a friendly, patient and positive approach to work.
As a Support Worker, you will assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents. You will provide support with day to day activities, whilst encouraging and promoting independent living. As part of our team, you’ll help people reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support, making a positive difference to their lives.
