A major IT recruitment agency is seeking a Data Integration Engineer to build data marts and manage ETL processes for a leading Japanese banking group in London. Position: Data Integration Engineer

Leading provider of IT services to one of the major Japanese banking group in the EMEA region, supporting one of Japan's largest banks and a global financial powerhouse.

Essential Qualifications
  • In‑depth understanding of data architecture and integration patterns.
  • Data modelling & transformation (conceptual/logical/physical).
  • Building data marts and downstream data products.
  • Proficiency with SQL and ETL/data integration tools (e.g. SSIS, IBM DataStage, Alteryx).
  • Solid hands‑on experience with SQL Server and Oracle.
  • Strong PL/SQL (Oracle) and T‑SQL (SQL Server).
  • Good understanding of data quality, security, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience with regulatory reporting in the banking sector.
  • Tool & platform management for data/ETL environments.
  • Experience with cloud storage solutions (e.g. object storage/file storage).
Desirable Qualifications
  • Exposure to Azure, Databricks
  • Exposure to AQR Reporting for ECB
  • Exposure to Middleware technologies (IIB, Kafka, Message Queue)
