We’re on the hunt for a Data Engineer in a brand-new role to join our mission to make Futures a champion in Data and leading the way for our customers.
We’re looking for a flexible, adaptable, and knowledgeable Data Engineer to support our new Data Architect to deliver our Data Strategy. This role is being uploaded so we can recruit special talent working at the cutting edge of helping us improve what we do and how we do it.
You’ll support with the delivery of the groups data strategy working collaboratively with stakeholders, extracting, transforming and loading data from a wide variety of sources.
This role is hybrid working with office days Wednesday and Friday, with the option to work remotely Monday, Tuesday and Thursday if you wish. There may also be other times you’ll be required to attend one of our offices to meet with business requirements, so you’ll need that full UK licence of yours and access to a car for work purposes.
A few key points from our role profile:
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and map the data assets that will form the Data Register (DR) across all relevant systems.
Establish processes to extract relevant identification details for the data assets within the DR, e.g. storage, data type, format, usage, quality, volume.
Design and implement processes to extract, transform and load data from a wide variety of data sources, including initiatives for data cleansing, deleting, and archiving.
Implement rules-based criteria to monitor the accuracy, consistency and security of data assets.
Ensure adherence of all data assets within the DR to agreed data governance, data life cycle and business rules.
Support teams across the business with data priorities, in particular, the reduction of off-system data assets and adherence to data policies and regulations.
You’ll have a strong understanding of data engineering methodologies and working knowledge of data engineering, system integration, data quality, data governance and regulation. and data warehousing.
You’ve the ability to work accurately, deliver high standards and work to tight deadlines which will make you a great fit for our forward-thinking ICT Team.
