Job description
Overview
  • As our Data Analyst, you will: Prepare and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly operational and performance reports for internal managers, commissioners, and external stakeholders.
  • Act as a lead for data quality, driving improvements, reducing errors, and embedding robust processes.
  • Work closely with colleagues across Finance, Business Systems, and Operations to ensure accurate and timely data reporting.
  • Produce trend analyses, benchmarking, and modelling to inform senior managers and support business decisions.
  • Maintain high standards of data accuracy, security, and confidentiality in line with statutory and organisational policies.
  • Support across the Hospital, guiding staff to ensure consistent data entry and reporting.
  • Attend and present data at monthly performance meetings, explaining insights clearly to a range of audiences.
  • This is a varied role where your work will directly impact both hospital performance and patient outcomes.
Qualifications and experience
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP and strong ability with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with confidence in presenting data.
  • The ability to manage your own workload, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • A genuine interest in data quality and a drive to continuously improve standards.
Desirable but not essential
  • Experience in healthcare, NHS statutory returns, or healthcare statistics.
  • Previous experience implementing data quality standards or work plans.

This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week in a flexible hybrid capacity.
