Job description
Overview
  • The Associate D365FO Developer will be responsible for working closely with other members of the Development team to ensure requests for development work on D365 are completed to a high standard and within timescales.
  • This includes coding, unit testing, building applications, and creating, modifying and troubleshooting existing applications.
  • They will also work closely with other stakeholders within the business such as Business Analysts, Business Systems Analysts, Digital Transformation Managers and key colleagues in various divisions within F&M before, during and after the developments are undertaken.
  • They must have a good level of systemic expertise within the D365 application itself, as well as knowledge around the Power Platform and overall MS Stack.
  • As important is the right attitude, ability to work within a fast paced and demanding Retail and IT Environment, ability to learn and continue to develop and enhance their skill set and the willingness to move forward within the organisation.
What You’ll Do:
  • Translate business needs to technical specifications
  • Design, build and deploy applicable solutions
  • Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting
  • Evaluate and improve existing developments
  • Develop and update technical documentation
  • Create and update tickets and associated administration
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and requests
  • Implement data quality checks and ensure adherence to data governance policies
  • Creation and maintenance of relevant documentation
Required Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years demonstrable experience within D365 Development
  • Demonstratable experience within LCS and ADO
  • Demonstratable experience within the MS D365FO application
  • Demonstratable experience coding within the X++ Language
  • Experience within MS Visual Studio, Azure Portal and Power Platform
  • Experience of customisation, configuration and development of the D365 application
  • Ability to develop required solutions according to functional specifications
  • Ability to work within an IT and Transformation technical framework
  • Ability to keep up to date with the latest functionality related to the D365FO application
  • Some experience of D365FO cloud principles
  • Proven ability of working with a diverse group of stakeholders across many business disciplines
  • Ability to work independently but seek guidance whenever required
Desirable:
  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
  • Retail industry experience
