About the Team

Stroud is a beautiful and historic station, with strong ties to the local community. As part of our dedicated station team, you'll help to look after this landmark and play a key role in maintaining and nurturing our valued community links.

About the Role

We're looking for someone who can confidently and impartially sell our full range of tickets and services, while always putting customer needs first. You'll provide friendly, accurate information and assistance, and ensure the station environment remains welcoming and well maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver excellent customer service at all times.
  • Accurately and impartially sell the full range of tickets, products, and services in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Maximise sales opportunities by using effective selling techniques and offering enhanced products.
  • Carry out routine maintenance and cleaning of ticket machines and IT equipment.
  • Complete accountancy and associated documentation accurately.
What We're Looking For

  • The ability to understand and meet customer needs.
  • A self-starter with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Confidence in decision-making and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • The ability to follow strict procedures with accuracy and attention to detail.
Minimum Requirements
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Evidence of numerical ability.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Live within 1 hour's travel of Stroud Station.
Working Pattern
  • Part time: 27.5 hours per week.

Please note: this role involves lone working.
