Job description

Role Overview

Day‑to‑day running of our busy CT department, providing the best possible care to our patients. Undertake a wide range of CT examinations to a high standard including stroke, trauma, oncology, intervention, CT colonography and cardiac CT. Supervise junior radiographers and students. Liaise with radiologists, service users and clerical booking teams to ensure an efficient service for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans in accordance with current protocols.
• Be aware of limitations of experience and seek additional advice if required.
• Maintain proficiency with all equipment and personal CPD.
• Observe and care for patients under investigation, liaising with clerical staff, porters, nurses and medical staff.
• Receive and document patients, ensuring full registration within the departmental record system.
• Maintain safety for colleagues, patients and visitors in line with departmental safety policies.
• Participate in a shift system, including out‑of‑hours CT service (evenings, weekends, possible nights).
• Potential rotation through MRI.

Location and Working Pattern

Posts based at Worthing with regular rotation to Southlands Hospital (CDC). Shift system includes out‑of‑hours service.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 2+ years post‑graduate CT experience.
• NHS background required.
• Cardiac and CT colonography experience welcomed but not essential.
• MRI experience desirable but not essential.
• Graduate visa holders must have a minimum of 18 months remaining on the visa.

Visa Sponsorship

Role eligible for UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI) Skilled Worker route sponsorship, subject to meeting UKVI requirements, including skill and salary thresholds.
