Overview

Experienced Cover Supervisor — Full-time

September 2025 start

TeacherActive are looking for a Cover Supervisor to assist with general cover in a mainstream Secondary School in Worcester.

Pay rates between £90-£120 per full day, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be supervising a classroom of around 30-32 students while they complete pre-prepared work when their current teacher is absent. Your main duties will be to take registers and record any absences, keep students on task and make sure work is completed, students are safe, and the classroom is left tidy. You must have strong behavioural management and classroom management skills.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills
• Have a basic understanding of the National Curriculum
• Over 12 months experience working as a Cover Supervisor
• The ability to cover a variety of subjects
• Passion for working in education
• Self-motivated
• Confidence to manage a classroom
• Be able to commit to working school hours (8:30-3:30)
