Salary: £100 - £130 per day (depending on experience)

About the Role

TeacherActive is looking for a Cover Supervisor in Newcastle. We have an opportunity to work within local schools in the Newcastle area. We build strong rapport with our partner schools and support staff through the onboarding process. The schools have ambitions to create a culture of success and positivity towards learning.

We are seeking a Cover Supervisor to deliver day-to-day, short-term or long-term cover in education. You will have the opportunity to support pupils and help them thrive. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising students and delivering a high standard of professionalism, supporting teachers to supervise students and ensuring completion of tasks set by the teacher, with any additional help as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver day-to-day, short-term or long-term cover within schools.
• Supervise students and help them complete tasks set by the teacher.
• Provide additional support to students as needed and support the teacher in managing the class.

Qualifications

• Degree in Education (desirable)
• Experience supervising children within a school setting
• Experience in a Primary or Secondary setting
• Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
• Excellent classroom management
• Behavioural management experience (desirable)
