A community-focused educational institution in Wigan is seeking a Cover Supervisor to support teaching during absences and assist with the pastoral team. Salary: Grade 4, £17,344 - £18,186 per annum. £13.26 - £13.90 per hour
30 hours per week, term time working 38 weeks per year plus 1 inset day
Monday-Friday: 8.30 am – 3.00 pm
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational Cover Supervisor to teach a variety of classes during periods of absence of the designated teacher. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining a positive environment for effective learning, through the application of the systems and structures developed by the school. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be adding capacity to the team as the number of students attending the school increases.
During non‑cover periods, the successful candidate will be expected to undertake duties including supporting the pastoral and inclusion team and lunchtime supervision.
You could be a recent graduate who is not quite certain of a career in teaching but who has experience of working to support children’s learning gained in a relevant environment and can demonstrate an understanding of areas of learning, for instance, literacy and numeracy. You could be an experienced individual who is aligned to our ambitions and thinking with a desire to make an impact in our setting.
