Job description
Cover Supervisor

We are currently seeking a keen and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our school. Cover Supervisors play a very important role in the school by leading classes and facilitating learning in the event of a teacher being absent from school. The role is very varied and involves delivering cover lessons that have been planned by subject specialists, using the resources that a teacher has provided. The role may suit a recent graduate keen to broaden their skillset and possibly consider a career in teaching. Alternatively, the role may suit someone who has prior experience of working as a Learning Support Assistant, and is keen for a new challenge! Either way, the successful applicant will be adept at communicating with both students and staff, will have a positive "can-do" mindset, and will be flexible and able to think on their feet. They will not be phased by working with teenagers! In return for your hard work and commitment, we offer a highly supportive working environment, students who are keen to learn, and outstanding continued professional development opportunities, including access to NVQs and Apprenticeships.

King's Academy Easthampstead Park is a vibrant school which prides itself on holding traditional values. We seek to equip all students with the confidence, knowledge, skills and values that will enable them to thrive in the modern world. Through our academic and personal development curricula, we aim to nurture and develop the whole child so that each unique individual grows constantly in confidence, and develops the knowledge, skills and self-esteem to achieve their true potential. All children at our school access a broad, challenging and engaging curriculum, encouraging learning through well established, research-based quality first teaching.

"Pupils enjoy coming to their happy and inclusive school. There is a strong ethos of mutual respect, courtesy and care for others."

"Pupils behave well in lessons and around school. They value the educational opportunities that they receive and want to succeed. Knowing their teachers have high expectations and want the very best for them encourages pupils to take pride in their work. Pupils confidently ask for help when they need it."

We aspire to be rated 'Outstanding', driven by a core belief that all of our students deserve nothing but the best possible teaching and support in order to be happy, healthy and successful. We aim to deliver the best quality teaching and learning in a school where staff and students have respect for, and pride in themselves, their school and their community.

If you feel you have the necessary skills, mindset and determination to join us on our journey towards 'outstanding,' we would very much like to hear from you. Visits to the school prior to application are warmly welcomed.

Employment is with King's Academies and not Bracknell Forest Council. The Trust is very popular and for most posts a large number of applications are received - it is therefore not possible to notify all applicants of the outcome. Please accept that if you have not heard within two weeks of the closing date then, unfortunately, your application has been unsuccessful - in which case we offer our best wishes for the future.
