Job summary

A local law firm in Derry is seeking an experienced Conveyancing Solicitor to lead their own desk. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in residential conveyancing with at least 5 years of PQE. You will manage your own caseload, advise clients throughout the process, and enjoy autonomy in your role supported by a legal secretary. The firm offers flexibility for part-time work for the right candidate.

Conveyancing Solicitor – Derry | £40,000–£50,000 | Full-time or Part-time

Are you an experienced Conveyancing Solicitor ready to lead your own desk in a well-established local law firm?

Our client is a respected, multi-practice solicitors firm based in Derry, known for high-quality client service and a supportive working environment. As the sole conveyancer in the practice, you'll enjoy autonomy in your work, with the backing of dedicated legal secretarial support. Ideally 5+ years PQE, but strong junior solicitors will also be considered as will more senior practitioners.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage your own caseload of residential conveyancing files from instruction to completion

  • Advise clients on all stages of the property transaction process

  • Draft and review contracts, title documents, leases, and deeds

  • Conduct title checks and coordinate with estate agents, mortgage providers, and opposing solicitors

  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements

  • Resolve issues or disputes that may arise during transactions

  • Maintain accurate, detailed records of all matters handled
