A recruitment agency is seeking a Controls Engineer for the Water Industry in Wells, Somerset. This role involves designing and integrating Control Panels in Electrical Systems, PLC programming, and troubleshooting. Candidates should have experience and knowledge of Electrical Systems and hold relevant qualifications. The position offers a salary between £50,000 - £60,000 plus training and progression opportunities.

£50,000 - £60,000 + Training + Progression + Pension
Are you a Controls Engineer/Electrical Engineer or similar, ideally from a background in the Water Industry or similar, with a strong knowledge of Electrical Systems, looking to join a highly ambitious, rapidly growing company, offering top-of-the-line training as well as impressive career progression?
In this role, the successful Controls Engineer or similar will be responsible for the design, and integration of the Controls Panels in Electrical Systems for Water Treatment Processes. You will also be responsible for the PLC programming as well as SCADA development, defining both software and hardware requirements, in addition to both troubleshooting and diagnostics of Control Systems. You will be responsible for the commissioning and testing of Control Systems, defining test strategies, ensuring the project meets milestone dates. Finally, you will be responsible for ensuring you are in accordance with compliance and safety, as well as keeping accurate technical documentation, in addition to developing detailed design specifications, and lastly, providing technical advice/support to delivery/design/management teams etc.
The ideal candidate will also:
Hold a full, valid UK driver’s license. Ideally, but not essentially, have a background in the Water Industry. Specific knowledge of PLC Programming and SCADA Development. Willingness to travel to customer/client sites as needed. Must be able to obtain Security Clearance.
