Responsibilities

• Conduct outpatient clinic sessions.
• Perform surgeries including sentinel lymph node biopsies.
• Support multidisciplinary teams in skin oncology.

Job description

Overview

This is a substantive full time (10 PA) post. The post holder will work as a member of a team of Consultant Plastic Surgeons, based at the University Hospital Birmingham NHS Trust with opportunities to have commitments in Solihull Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient clinic sessions
• Specialist Skin oncology MDT meeting and Joint Skin Oncology Clinics (JSOC)
• Theatre sessions to independently perform primary and metastatic Head and Neck skin cancers including Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy, Comprehensive neck dissections and different types of reconstruction including microsurgical reconstruction.
• Support with Lateral skull base reconstructions
• Support with Facial Palsy Clinic

The successful applicant will join a multi-disciplinary team with the highest standards of clinical care. They will act as part of the wider plastic surgery team as well as part of the sub-speciality multidisciplinary teams.
