Job description
Overview

This post is a new 10 programmed activity post created to provide additional support to the existing teams at RJAH and Wrexham Maelor with 5 PAs committed to the role at each site. The post holder will work with both RJAH and Wrexham Maelor teams to create an ethos that allows the continued provision and development of services at either site and across sites where appropriate.

Responsibilities
  • All aspects of paediatric ward cover.
  • Assessment of all patients admitted to ward.
  • Governance - management of medical input into development of guidelines, policies and audit.
  • Outpatient Paediatric Clinic care.
Job plan and site details

The post is based on 5 programmed activities of work per week, subject to job planning review. The job plan is based on a full-time role of 10 PAs plus 0.5 of an additional direct clinical care PA. The 0.5 additional direct clinical care PA will be formally identified within the job plan on commencement. If the successful candidate does not wish to accept the offer of the 0.5 additional direct PA, an adjustment to the direct clinical care PAs in the job plan will be made taking into account the needs of both RJAH and BCUHB.

This is a substantive joint post developed to provide care across two sites – The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (RJAH) and Wrexham Maelor Hospital – Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. The employer will be The RJAH Orthopaedic Hospital NHSFT and the postholder will be involved in provision of services to Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (Wrexham Maelor Hospital) through a service level agreement.
