A leading NHS Trust in the UK is seeking up to 3 Consultant Histopathologists specializing in Breast, Gynae, Uropathology, Neuropathology, and Haematopathology. This role is primarily based in Sheffield, with potential responsibilities at Doncaster and Rotherham. We are looking to appoint up to 3 FTE Consultant Histopathologists with an interest in Breast, Gynae, Uropathology, Neuropathology & Haematopathology. Any other areas of subspecialist practice can be accommodated.
Posts will be primarily based at Sheffield but may also support services at Doncaster or Rotherham pending laboratory consolidation.

Any candidate who is unable for personal reasons to work full‑time will be considered; such appointments may involve modification of the job content discussed on a personal basis with the Trust in consultation with consultant colleagues.

The Consultant staff of the Histopathology Department are organised into subspecialist reporting teams.
Consultants typically practice in 1-3 subspecialist areas in line with their interests and departmental needs.
Direct Clinical Care (DCC) work includes appropriate dissection, histology and cytology reporting, and MDT preparation and delivery.
SYB Histopathology delivers laboratory and reporting activity within the SYB Pathology Service network and beyond, with increasing activity anticipated and closer operational collaboration between the different SYB sites.
Reporting work is distributed across the relevant subspecialist teams and treated uniformly regardless of the source.
The successful candidate must be registered with the GMC with a valid licence to practice.
They must have completed Specialist Training (or equivalent) and be entered on the Specialist Register of the GMC, or have a CCT date within six months of the date of interview.
