A leading cancer centre in the UK is seeking a Consultant Endocrinologist to provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient endocrinology services. The successful candidate will join a notable consultant team, focusing on cancer-related endocrinology and supporting oncology services. The role includes mentoring junior doctors, contributing to quality improvements, and participating in research to enhance endocrine care for cancer patients. This position offers a unique opportunity to work within a top cancer treatment facility.
The Christie NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint a Consultant Endocrinologist to deliver a high-quality, specialist endocrine service within the Directorate of Supportive Oncology at the Withington main site. This is a 10 PA post providing comprehensive outpatient endocrinology care alongside inpatient and in‑reach endocrine support for oncology services. The post holder will join an established consultant team within one of the UK’s first integrated Supportive Oncology Directorates, delivering expert care for complex endocrine disorders, with a particular focus on cancer‑related endocrinology and late effects of cancer treatment. The role combines specialist clinical practice with opportunities for service development, multidisciplinary working, education, and research in a leading cancer centre. The successful candidate will contribute to a progressive, patient‑centred service that supports cancer survivors and oncology patients through integrated, equitable, and high‑quality endocrine care, prompting a high‑quality consultant‑led endocrinology service for inpatients and outpatients at The Christie, with clinical responsibility for a defined caseload including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow‑up.

We are also an international leader in research, with world‑first breakthroughs for over 100 years. We run one of the largest early clinical trial units in Europe with over 300 trials every year. Cancer research in Manchester, most of which is undertaken on the Christie site, has been officially ranked the best in the UK.
