Job Description
For this role you must be able to travel between sites in Northern Ireland and, when needed, travel to the Republic of Ireland.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work as part of a team in the delivery of one or more projects at any one time, embracing the ethos of a “one team” culture.
- Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental standards, policies and procedures are always adhered to.
- Review design-stage mechanical drawings and P&ID to validate designs, familiarise with the project, and spot issues before they arise; provide input and feedback on design to contribute to DfMA efficiencies.
- Work well on own initiative with a good work ethos to achieve a high production output.
- Complete tanks, sub-assemblies & small parts as required.
- Maintain quantity and quality of work to be of a high standard, free of defects and with attention to detail.
- Ability to problem solve, able to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
- Complete all test documentation and inspection and test plans (ITPs) as required.
- Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions.
- Actively participate in product and process improvement by providing lessons learned feedback and innovative solutions for adoption on future projects.
- Other duties as required from time to time.
- Must be neat and have good housekeeping skills.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 3+ years’ experience working in a similar role.
- Experienced in TIG welding with flat, folded, and pipe projects.
- Ability to liaise on a technical level with the Engineering Department to support product improvements.
- Must have basic weld polishing & cleaning experience.
- Ability to work as part of a team with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage time when given a work list, including continuous feedback to the line manager on work close‑out.
- Main thicknesses used are 1mm to 6mm, so the applicant must be comfortable working on light materials.
- Ability to use own initiative, problem solve and adjust as issues arise.
