Job summary

A recruitment specialist is seeking a Computer Aided Design (CAD) Tutor in York. The successful candidate will deliver engaging CAD lessons focused on engineering concepts and hold a Level 3 qualification in CAD or Engineering Design. A Level 5 teaching qualification is also required or candidates must be willing to obtain one. A salary of £30,000 - £35,000 is offered, based on qualifications and experience.

Essential Criteria

• Must hold a recognised Level 3 qualification in CAD or Engineering Design (or equivalent).
• Hold - or be willing to work towards - a Level 5 teaching qualification (DTLLS/DET or equivalent/above)
• Must be proficient in CAD software and engineering design.
• Experience of delivering CAD instruction.

Duties

• Deliver high-quality and engaging lessons in Computer Aided Design (CAD), focussing on engineering concepts to learners undertaking Level 2 and 3 qualifications.
• Ensure sessions are motivating, engaging and develop learners'skills knowledge and behaviours
• Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
• Provide advice and guidance to learners relating to decision making and progression.
• Monitor student attendance and progress through regular student assessment and reviews.

• Organisational skills are a must, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively
• Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people
• Quality driven and prepared to go the extra mile for your learners
