Job summary

A composite parts manufacturer in the UK is looking for a Composite Laminator experienced in automotive or aerospace industries. The role involves laminating tooling, vacuum bagging, and working under minimal supervision. Candidates must have at least two years' experience in the composite sector, and possess strong organizational skills. This role is critical in ensuring quality and delivery targets are met, while supporting lean manufacturing initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Laminating tooling and components.
• Sealing and releasing patterns and moulds.
• Vacuum bagging of tooling and components.
• Loading ovens and autoclaves.
• Template manufacture and kit cutting of components.
• Achieving delivery targets while ensuring quality.
• Supporting 5S and LEAN manufacturing activities.

Composite Laminator

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have experience in manufacturing composite tooling and components, within the automotive, aerospace or motorsport industry, be self-motivated, enable to read and understand instructions from a manual or an engineering drawing, achieve company objectives within tight deadlines and work with minimum supervision.

Composite Laminator

Reporting to : - Line Manager.

Hours : - 37 hrs

Key Responsibilities

• Laminating Tooling and components.
• The seal and release of patterns and moulds.
• The vacuum bagging of Tooling and components.
• The loading of Ovens and autoclaves.
• Template manufacture and kit cutting of components.
• To achieve delivery targets of our customers while ensuring quality is not compromised.
• Support the continuing 5S and LEAN Manufacturing activities.

Desired Skills / Experience - Composite Laminator

• Basic knowledge of the make-up of race cars and road cars.
