Job summary

A global compliance firm is seeking a Compliance Consulting Analyst to support AML initiatives for various clients. This role involves KYC processes, compliance reporting, and client communication. The ideal candidate should have AML qualifications, strong communication skills, and experience in managing complex corporate structures. A full-time position based in City Of London, with no remote work options.

Job description

The Compliance Consulting Analyst will support members of the consulting team in delivering market leading AML support for clients with work of both an ongoing and project-based nature.

Client work will include delivery of AML onboarding of Client investors and investments as well as providing wider AML compliance consultancy. Clients will be varied across investment management, wealth management, corporate finance, broking and fintechs.

Day-to-day activities include :
  • Perform AML / KYC processes including onboarding & periodic reviews on clients and investors in accordance with scheduled cycles to ensure compliance with relevant AML / CFT regulations.
  • Complete key process controls including name screening risk assessments within established timelines; source of wealth & funds and KYC documents are up to date and properly recorded.
  • Provide independent recommendations to mitigate the identified risks across the existing client book where necessary and/or be responsible for escalating the findings to the necessary stakeholders.
  • Perform management reporting on key statistics and status updates in an efficient manner.
  • Be the point of contact for clients and stakeholders to collect due diligence documents including periodic reviews and provide timely responses to clients.
  • Review PEP alerts and conduct initial and ongoing Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) where appropriate.
  • Draft new collateral for the consulting team.
  • Assist in the preparation of compliance training slides.
  • Involve in regulatory research for both client queries and upcoming regulatory requirements, including the drafting of thought leadership publications.

Qualifications :
  • Industry recognised qualification in Anti-Money Laundering, Financial Crime or Customer Due Diligence (e.g. ICA CAMS) preferred but not essential.
  • Experience conducting periodic and trigger reviews particularly for complex corporate structures (e.g. funds, trusts).
  • Proven ability to communicate directly with clients and apply professional curiosity in due diligence.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Comfortable working to tight deadlines and managing competing priorities.
