Complex Needs Outreach Tutor January 2026 Start in Lancashire
Prospero Teaching is currently looking for an experienced Outreach Tutor to deliver 1:1, bespoke education for young people with complex needs in Lancashire, starting in January 2026. This role focuses on working with students who are unable to attend school and require tailored learning support.
As an Outreach Tutor, you will design and deliver personalised lessons with a strong focus on core subjects such as English and Maths. Many of the students you support may have significant additional needs, requiring full adult care, including assistance with mobility or the use of wheelchairs.
This role is ideal for a tutor with a passion for inclusive education, who can adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning needs. Experience with communication systems such as Makaton and PECS is highly desirable but not essential.
In this role, you’ll help reintroduce structure and routine into the student’s day, promoting both academic and life skills development. Prospero Teaching will provide you with the necessary support and guidance to monitor progress and ensure effective learning outcomes.
Location: Community-based or within pupils’ homes in Lancashire
Position: Outreach Tutor (Complex Needs)
Full‑time/Part‑time: Part‑time, 15‑25 hours per week
Minimum Rate of Pay: £25 per hour
Hours per session: 1‑3 hours
