Job summary

A prominent healthcare trust in the UK is looking for a professional to serve as the first point of contact for service users in a sexual health setting. The ideal candidate must possess excellent interpersonal, telephone, and IT skills while promoting access to services for all patients, including teenagers. Responsibilities include directing patients, ensuring confidentiality, and working evening shifts as required. A commitment to equality and diversity is essential. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Be the first point of contact for service users and direct patients to the appropriate member of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide a professional and caring welcome to patients of all ages, including teenagers; promote access to services for young people.
  • Work independently using your own initiative while contributing as a strong team member.
  • Demonstrate excellent telephone and IT skills; training will be provided for IT systems and in contraception and sexual health processes.
  • Work evening shifts as required (one to two days a week).
  • Promote wellbeing and safety by acting promptly on concerns, communicating effectively, and sharing information in line with policy and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding and consent requirements for staff working with vulnerable groups (enhanced criminal records checks).
