Qualifications

About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Company Doctor to join our in-house Occupational Health Department at JCB. This full-time role is central to supporting the health, wellbeing, and productivity of our workforce. You’ll work closely with Management, HR, and Health & Safety teams to ensure our people remain fit, healthy, and supported throughout their careers at JCB.

This is a varied and rewarding position where your clinical expertise will directly contribute to the wellbeing of our employees and the success of our business.

What Does This Role Involve Day to Day

As Company Doctor, you’ll carry out a wide range of medical and occupational health assessments, offering expert advice and support across the organisation. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting medical assessments and occupational health evaluations for employees
  • Advising management, HR, and Health & Safety teams on sickness absence, fitness for work, rehabilitation, and redeployment
  • Identifying and addressing health trends in the workplace before they impact productivity
  • Providing medical care and support for employees, including assistance in managing medical emergencies
  • Supporting proactive health initiatives to help our people be as healthy as possible
  • Participating in a limited remote “on-call” rota to support urgent needs
This Will Be Suited to You If
  • You’re a qualified General Practitioner with MRCGP and recent experience in primary care
  • You have experience or qualifications in Occupational Medicine (e.g. Diploma in Occupational Medicine, AFOM/MFOM, or working towards these)
  • You’re confident in providing clinical advice in a corporate setting and working collaboratively across departments
  • You have experience in travel medicine
  • You hold a full UK driving licence and are comfortable working across multiple sites if required
  • You’re passionate about employee wellbeing and proactive in promoting health in the workplace
