Job summary

A national dementia charity in Scotland seeks a part-time temporary professional to support individuals with dementia. Qualifications

1x temporary, part-time position until 31 March 2027 (21 hours per week)

Location

Central Aberdeenshire – various bases available, most convenient confirmed upon appointment

Who We Are

Alzheimer Scotland is Scotland’s national dementia charity. Our aim is to make sure nobody faces dementia alone. We provide support and information to people with dementia, their carers and families, we campaign for the rights of people with dementia and fund vital dementia research.

What You’ll Do
  • Support individuals to stay connected to their local communities, engage in their interests and hobbies, and access peer support.
  • Develop ideas and lead the way towards exciting new activities to promote brain health.
  • Plan and deliver all activities, ensuring reflective practice through activity evaluations and feedback from the people we support.
What You’ll Have
  • Positive approach to dementia and brain health, passion to make a difference.
  • Good communication and computer skills, caring attitude and enthusiasm for the role.
  • Confidence in planning activities in advance and leading volunteers supporting your group.
  • Full and valid driving license and vehicle to travel for the role (mileage and expenses are paid).
  • Proof of right to work in the UK and subject to PVG check through Disclosure Scotland.
