About Company Shop Group (CSG)

Company Shop Group (CSG), part of the Biffa Group, is the UK’s largest commercial redistributor of surplus food and household products. We work with some of the UK’s biggest retailers, manufacturers, and logistics providers to unlock value from surplus stock that might otherwise go to waste.

That stock is given a second life through our Company Shop stores and our award-winning social enterprise Community Shop, helping to build stronger individuals and more confident communities.

We’re a purpose-led business doing good, with people at the heart of everything we do. We champion diversity, inclusion, and fresh perspectives — because better ideas create better outcomes.

The Role

As Communications Executive, you’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering industry-targeted (B2B) communications across multiple channels. Working closely with the Head of Communications and Senior Communications Manager, you’ll help bring our stories, campaigns, and insights to life — engaging industry partners and strengthening CSG’s profile.

This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced role for a confident communicator who enjoys creating compelling content, analysing performance, and spotting opportunities to improve impact. You’ll have the autonomy to test new ideas while supporting a wider strategic communications plan.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Supporting the Head of Communications and Senior Communications Manager to deliver end‑to‑end, industry‑focused communications activity.
  • Creating, delivering, and optimising content across multiple platforms, including:
    • Social media (LinkedIn – business and individual profiles)
    • Paid digital channels
    • PPC, website content, business presentations, and PR support
  • Monitoring channel performance using available analytics and providing insight‑led recommendations.
  • Using a test‑and‑learn approach to suggest new content ideas and formats.
  • Producing monthly industry communications reports for internal stakeholders, summarising performance, insights, and upcoming activity.
  • Collaborating with internal design teams, external creative agencies, and media agencies to deliver engaging campaigns.
  • Staying reactive to industry news and social conversations to ensure timely, relevant content.
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience in marketing and/or communications.
  • Experience delivering communications across social media and/or digital channels.
  • Excellent copywriting skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Confidence working collaboratively across teams and with external partners.
  • Strong reporting and analytical skills, with the ability to turn data into insight.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Google Analytics experience is desirable but not essential.

Most importantly, you’ll be enthusiastic, proactive, and motivated to make a meaningful impact in a purpose‑led organisation.

What’s In It for You
  • Competitive salary of £33,000 – £38,000, depending on experience.
  • Free Company Shop membership for you and 10 nominees.
  • Annual flu injections, high street & leisure vouchers, and on‑site parking.
  • Subsidised staff canteen, free tea & coffee, and Free Fruit Friday.
  • Employee Assistance Programme – Grocery Aid.
  • Eligibility for Costco membership, Cycle to Work scheme, and UK fuel card discounts.
  • Contributory pension scheme with death in service benefit.
