The role
What will you be doing

Commissions Administrator 12 month Fixed Term Contract (internally known as a CS Accounting Technician)

Location : Dorking 3 days per week (hybrid working)

What will you bring

Unum UK are looking for a Commissions Administrator who will be responsible for ensuring the commission payments are accurately paid to Unum intermediaries. You will accurately update our financial systems with commissions paid to ensure that the correct cost of business acquired is recorded in our accounts.

Your communication skills and accuracy when maintaining records will be key when paying commissions and preparing financial records.

Key Accountabilities
  • Establish and maintain internal and external customer relationships to support with commission queries via written and verbal communication.
  • Maintain update records and administer complex processes with a strong attention to detail.
  • Prepare and process premium money movements across policies and direct debit refusals.
  • Undertake Bank Reconciliations relating to premiums paid refunded or journaled.
  • Broker and internal administration including report production.
Required knowledge and skills
  • PC Literate including Word & Excel ability to apply processes and procedures.
  • Ability to work as a team as well as on own initiative.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Organisation and management of time whilst working under pressure delivering on commitments to meet targets and deadlines.
  • Ability to identify problems and apply critical logical reasoning to resolve issues.
