Job Role: Commercial Gas Engineer

Location: HMP Littlehey- Crow Spinney Lane, West Perry PE280SR

Salary: £41,818.21

Contract: Full time/Perm

We are seeking a dedicated Commercial Gas Engineer to join our team at HMP Littlehey, a Category C & YOI Male prison.

About GFSL and the Role

We are a Ministry of Justice business providing critical, time-bound services to HMPPS. We are seeking an Engineer - Combustion with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Two years experience working as a heating engineer, combustion engineer, or equivalent
  • Familiar with and able to work to Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements
  • Familiar with and able to work to Gas Safe (installation and use) regulations 1998 and associated industry standards
  • Experience of working with commercial catering gas appliances would be beneficial
  • Plumber qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and heating) and NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent
  • CCN1 - Core domestic gas safety and relevant domestic appliance units
  • COCN1 - Core commercial gas safety certificate and relevant commercial units
  • Good Health & Safety knowledge
  • Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
