A precision engineering firm in the West Midlands is seeking a knowledgeable Commercial Engineer to estimate customer quotations and provide commercial support related to engineering costs. The successful candidate will have experience in a precision engineering environment and be adept at providing quotes for CNC machined parts. The role offers flexible working options, requiring remote or hybrid arrangements with site visits every two weeks.

Qualifications

• Experience in estimating customer quotations in precision engineering.
• Able to provide quotes for CNC machined parts directly to customers.
• Familiarity with best practice methodology in estimation.

Responsibilities

• Estimate customer quotations using best practice methodology.
• Manage estimating activities between the estimating team.
• Provide commercial support in relation to engineering Cost Of Sales.
• Review lessons learned from COS data for cost savings.
• Support the engineering team to meet customer demand.
• Introduce process documentation as required.
