Job description
Overview

As School Staff Instructor (SSI), you will be responsible for the smooth and efficient running of our successful CCF contingent. Reporting directly to the Contingent Commander, you will manage all aspects of administration and coordination involving Cadet Force Adult Volunteers (CFAVs) and cadets. You will act as a role model for learners, demonstrating the values, standards, and personal qualities that support their development and future career aspirations.

As Duke of Edinburgh Coordinator, you will work one day per week to lead and deliver the DofE programme. This includes organising expeditions, volunteering opportunities, and skills development activities. You will provide guidance to participants, ensure programme compliance, and promote the award across the college to encourage engagement and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver practical and engaging activities for Public Services and Outdoor Education courses.
  • Inspire and prepare students for careers in the armed forces and wider public services.
  • Coordinate and manage CCF activities, administration, and logistics.
  • Lead the planning and delivery of the DofE programme.
  • Support full-time FE provision in collaboration with the Head of Department and team.

  • Experience in the further education sector (desirable).
