About the opportunity:

We are the internal recruitment partner for our client, a well‑established financial services group specialising in professional and ethical recovery of outstanding debt. For both private and commercial clients.

As Collections Manager, you’ll oversee the UK collections team and work closely with colleagues across the Isle of Man and the UK to deliver effective debt recovery strategies. You’ll ensure that every customer interaction achieves the right outcome while maintaining full compliance with FCA and other regulatory standards.

You’ll also play a key role in shaping best practices, refining processes, and supporting senior management with performance reporting and strategic decisions. If you’re an experienced collections professional looking to lead, inspire, and make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support the UK collections team to maximise recovery performance.
  • Manage arrears accounts in line with company standards and FCA regulations.
  • Oversee litigation and insolvency processes, liaising with solicitors and advocates as required.
  • Maintain robust systems and accurate records of all activities.
  • Collaborate with Compliance and Finance teams to ensure regulatory adherence and accurate reporting.
  • Drive continuous process improvement to minimise delinquency.
  • Ensure all activity reflects our core value in achieving the right customer outcome.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in debt recovery and collections management within financial services.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Excellent knowledge of UK collections law, GDPR, and AML regulations.
  • A results‑driven mindset, coupled with empathy and professionalism.
  • A commitment to compliance, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

  • Highly competitive salary up to 60,000 depending on skills and experience.
  • 35 hour working week Monday – Friday (office based)
