Electrical Technician – Kilmarnock (Permanent, On‑Site)

Certain Advantage is hiring for an Electrical Technician based in Kilmarnock. This role is on a permanent, on-site basis.

Overview

We are partnering with an engineering business that offers refurbishment, maintenance, overhaul, engineering support, project management and repair services to the UK rail and light rail sector. If you are ambitious to grow, this may be your next Electrical Technician role.

Responsibilities
  • Strip out, refurbishment and renovation of trains and rolling stock
  • Use various metalwork techniques to remove dents, repair rusted sections, and fix panels together
  • Bodywork inspections and corrosion repairs, including cutting out rusted floors and side panels
Requirements
  • Time served with relevant qualifications from accredited bodies
  • Good attention to detail – able to identify issues and determine effective rectifications
