Job description

Location: Droitwich, Worcestershire

Salary: £15 - £18 p/h (DOE)

Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Turner to join a leading engineering and manufacturing business. If you have proven turning experience, strong knowledge of Siemens A2100XZT, and the ability to program offline, we’d like to hear from you. Milling experience (3+4 axis) would be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Program, set, and operate CNC turning machines using Siemens A2100XZT controls
• Produce precision components to tight tolerances across a range of materials
• Perform offline programming for efficient production runs
• Interpret engineering drawings and ensure all components meet specification requirements
• Select and set up appropriate tooling and work-holding devices
• Conduct first-off and in‑process quality inspections
• Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues promptly
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
• Collaborate effectively with both the production and engineering teams
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop

Requirements

• Solid experience as a CNC Turner (essential)
• Proven proficiency with Siemens A2100XZT controls
• Experience in offline programming for turning operations
• Comfortable with 3 and 4 axis CNC milling (advantageous)
• Confident in reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings
• Strong ability to work to tight tolerances and high standards
