Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Turner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating CNC turning machines and possess a keen eye for detail. This role is essential in ensuring the precision and quality of our manufactured components. The CNC Turner will work closely with other team members to meet production goals while adhering to safety standards. This individual will need experience in working with low batch quantities, as we are working closely with the motorsport industry.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC turning machines to produce high-quality components according to specifications.

• Interpret technical drawings, including geometric tolerancing and set up and programme machines effectively.

• Monitor the production process, making adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standards.

• Conduct inspections of finished products using basic maths skills to verify dimensions and tolerances.

• Collaborate with team members within the business for efficient material handling and storage.

• Assist in tooling setup, including the selection and installation of appropriate tools for specific tasks.

• Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a CNC Turner or similar role within a manufacturing environment.

• Proficiency in using Siemens controls (DMG CLX LATHES)

• Familiarity with logic controllers and their application in CNC machinery is advantageous.

• Strong understanding of tooling requirements and machining processes.

• Basic maths skills are essential for measuring and verifying component specifications.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.

• A commitment to maintaining high-quality standards and attention to detail is crucial.
