Job summary

A precision engineering company in Willenhall is seeking an experienced CNC Setter/Operator (Milling) to join their team. Responsibilities include setting and operating CNC Milling machines, ensuring high-quality standards, and performing quality checks. Candidates must have experience with CNC machines and the ability to read engineering drawings. This is a full-time, permanent role with a salary of £15 to £16 per hour.

Overview

CNC Setter / Operator (Milling) – Location: Willenhall | Salary: £15 to £16 per hour | Hours: Days - Monday to Thursday (08:00-17:00), Friday (08:00-13:00) | Contract: Permanent | Full-Time

The Company

A precision engineering business specialising in aerospace and high-quality machining. With modern CNC technology and a strong reputation for quality, they are now looking to add an experienced CNC Setter/Operator to their production team.

The Role

As a CNC Setter/Operator (Milling), you will be responsible for setting and operating CNC Milling machines to produce precision components to exact customer and drawing specifications. You will work to high quality standards, ensuring efficient use of materials while maintaining a safe and tidy work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Set and operate CNC Milling machines to manufacture precision components.
  • Work to tight tolerances and customer specifications.
  • Maximise material usage while minimising scrap and rework.
  • Carry out quality checks using measuring equipment.
  • Record production data accurately on internal systems.
  • Ensure all products are identified, handled and stored correctly.
  • Follow health & safety guidelines at all times.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and support training of other operators when required.
Skills & Experience
  • Must have the full rights to work in the UK (No sponsorship offered)
  • Proven experience setting and operating CNC Milling machines.
  • Heidenhain controls experience
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong understanding of machining processes and cutting tools.
  • Competent with measuring equipment and quality inspection.
  • PC literate and confident with production documentation.
  • Self-motivated, reliable and detail focused.
