Job description

An permanent full time vacancy arises for a Clinical Scientist to join the Visual Electrophysiology service in St. Paul’s Eye Unit, Liverpool based at the new Royal Liverpool University Hospital which opened in October 2022.

Overview

St Paul’s is a long established unit with 44 consultant ophthalmologists providing the full range of ophthalmology subspecialties to Cheshire & Merseyside and beyond. The visual electrophysiology service is lead clinically by Prof Savita Madhusudhan.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a range of electrodiagnostic tests on adult and paediatric patients at Royal Liverpool University Hospital and Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.
  • Interpret results and prepare appropriate reports to assist medical colleagues in diagnosis and patient management.
  • Work with patients referred to the service from St Paul’s Eye Unit and other providers.
Qualifications
  • Experience in clinical science within visual electrophysiology.
  • Or a strong interest in developing your role in this direction.
