12 Month Fixed Term/Secondment opportunity
Position Overview
This role is a 12‑month fixed‑term or secondment opportunity for a NICU Clinical Research Nurse within the Women’s and Children’s team. It involves clinical research to improve treatment and care for patients at NNUH, primarily conducted at the NIHR Norfolk Clinical Research Facility and the Quadram Institute.
Responsibilities
- Assess and manage the care pathways for patients and/or carers participating in clinical trials.
- Recruit, educate and monitor trial participants, collecting and documenting findings accurately.
- Play a key role in ground‑breaking research studies and network with partners such as the University of East Anglia.
- Work independently and flexibly within a collaborative team, meeting research targets and project timelines.
Qualifications
- Qualified Registered Nurse with significant NICU experience.
- Research experience in a hospital setting, with knowledge of trial protocols, policies and governance.
- Understanding of research procedures, documentation, and compliance with local, national and international regulations.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, flexible approach to workload.
