A leading health care provider in England is seeking a Clinical Deputy Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure the highest quality of care. The successful candidate will hold a Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care and a Nurses PIN. You will be responsible for supporting staff, compliance with regulations, and the overall wellbeing of the residents. This role requires leadership and excellent communication skills within a caring and community-focused environment.

The successful applicant will be required to hold a Nurses PIN.

As Deputy Manager it will be your role to provide support to the staff and people supported. You will take full responsibility for the development and implementation of systems and processes, to ensure we are able to provide the highest quality of care and support.
You will also be required to work with the relevant governing bodies on new business opportunities for the service.
Kenway Court is a residential, community-focused care home in Southend-on-Sea.
The service supports people with intellectual and physical disabilities. People who live at Kenway Court have wide individual choice, with active support from staff. Our service offers nursing support to those with complex needs.

To oversee the day to day running of the services you are allocated to, thisincludes:Ensure the rotas are completed well in advance and the appropriate blend ofrequirements are matched to the rota to ensure we meet all of the people wesupport needsEnsure that rotas are completed in line with contractual arrangementsEnsure you monitor the quality of records by using sampling methodsEnsure accident/incident records investigated and any lessons learnt areembedded into practiceEnsure safeguarding records are investigated and all appropriate sign off isgivenImplement and monitor operating systems in accordance with policies andprocedures and ensure these are being audited on a regular basisComplete regular finance audits to ensure that the people we supportsmoney is being managed in accordance with their care plans.To ensure that the service is compliant with regulation and the placing bodiesrequirementsTo undertake referral assessments and mobilise new contractsJob Description & PersonSpecificationPage 2 of 7Clinical Deputy ManagerTo ensure that keyworkers are allocated to the people we support and that thearrangements are working for the people we supportTo ensure that the team work with multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring that thepeople we support have access to the best support that meets their needsTo ensure that all appropriate health and safety arrangements are in place2. To support our delivery teamsProvide direct supervision to support staff and team leadersProvide onsite coaching and mentoring of staff teamsEnsure that you work in a way that supports the wellbeing of the staff teamLead staff meetingsIdentify staff training needs and plan to meet these in conjunction with theteam leader and area managerEnsure staff personal development is ongoing to meet the needs of thepeople we support3. To contribute to the development of the servicesPromote and support inclusion throughout the service, identifying anddiscussing employment and leisure opportunities in the communityTo monitor KPIs for the people we support to ensure that each of the peoplewe support are active citizens in their communityTo undertake an annual review for all the people we supportTo induct new staff into systems, policies and proceduresReview the annual service improvement plan monthly and to annually developplans for the coming two yearsEnsure that you model the values of Shaftesbury4. To maintain effective CommunicationDevelop and maintain effective communication systems within the service.Ensure that key organisational messages are cascaded to the delivery teamsEnsure you communicate to the Area ManagerEnsure effective communication with families and support partnersEnsure relationships are developed and maintained with health and socialcare professionalsEnsure people we support and family forums are embedded into ourdevelopment plans5. Additional dutiesClinical Deputy Manager will be required to participate in local on call andsleepover arrangements where service needs dictateUndertake other duties as requiredPromote the organisation in a positive manner
