Job Title: Clinical Deputy Manager (Supernumerary) - 22-Bed Nursing Home, Ilkeston

Location: Ilkeston, Derbyshire

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

I'm working on behalf of a friendly, well-established 22-bed nursing home in Ilkeston that prides itself on delivering compassionate, person-centred care. The home has an experienced Registered Manager, a stable and supportive nursing team, and provides a welcoming environment for both residents and staff.

The Role

The home is looking for a Clinical Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in day-to-day clinical operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified nurse to step into a leadership role, mentor the team, and make a real impact on residents' lives without being counted in the staffing numbers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Registered Manager in leading and managing the nursing team.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop staff.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe, and person-centred care.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance, including CQC standards.
  • Work collaboratively with families and healthcare professionals.
  • Medication administration, auditing and ordering.
Candidate Requirements
  • Qualified nurse (RGN, RMN, or RNLD) with post-registration experience.
  • Previous leadership or deputy management experience within a nursing or care home setting is desirable.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • Committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care.
