Job summary

A leading NHS Trust in Greater London is seeking a skilled Band 6 Clinical Community Occupational Therapist to provide care for clients with neurological conditions. Job description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Band 6 Clinical Community Occupational Therapist with inpatient experience to join one of the leading NHS Trusts in South East London.

Job Description

You will provide essential care to clients with progressive and sudden-onset neurological conditions such as traumatic brain injury, Parkinson's disease, MS, MND, and spinal cord injury.

This role involves home visits and working within an integrated team to offer holistic rehabilitation and support services. The role requires strong clinical reasoning and a client-centred approach to managing a complex caseload.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct evidence-based assessments, treatments, and advisory services for clients with neurological conditions
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure patient-centred rehabilitation
  • Develop and implement tailored, goal‑oriented rehabilitation programmes for each client
  • Manage a complex caseload using critical thinking, reflection, and clinical reasoning
  • Participate in continuous professional development, education, audits, and research projects
Requirements
  • Recognised Occupational Therapy degree
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Preferably post‑registration neuro experience, including cognitive rehabilitation
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary team (MDT)
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license
