Job description
Overview

We are looking for NHS 111 Clinical Advisors to join IC24, a not-for-profit social enterprise providing patient-focused primary care services. This role involves complex triage, providing vital advice, and supporting call handlers during critical situations to keep patients safe. After 6 months, hybrid working may be available.

Location: Ashford, Kent.

Hours available: minimum 12 hours per week, up to 37.5 hours per week. Pay framework starts from £19.12 through training, up to £24.86 on Saturdays and £30.59 on Sundays plus bank holidays. Full-time and part-time roles with various shift patterns are described below.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out complex triage using clinical expertise
  • Provide vital advice to patients and support call handlers during critical situations
  • Participate in paid training and ongoing career development
  • Support opportunities to train as an ACP or UCP
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse or Paramedic with 2+ years of recent experience in primary care or A&E
  • Must be able to commit to 8 weeks of full-time training if not Pathways trained
  • If Pathways trained, three months of satisfactory audits are required
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and DBS disclosure in line with employment checks
Shifts and Working Patterns

Full-Time Roles:

  • Standard shifts include a mix of early and late shifts
  • Early shifts start at 7am or 8am
  • Late shifts finish at 9pm or 10pm
  • Option to work only late shifts for full-time staff
  • Night shifts available (typically 22:00–06:00)
  • Weekend work required at least every other weekend (option to work every weekend)

Part-Time Roles:

  • Evening-focused shifts with some early/late flexibility
  • Early shifts 6am–12pm; Late shifts 4pm–10pm; weekend shifts available
  • Additional hours may be available during peak demand
