£150 - £210 per day (depending on experience)

TeacherActive are working with a highly respectedSEN school in Manchesterthat supportssecondary-aged studentswith a wide range of additional needs, including Autism, SLD, PMLD and complex communication challenges.

The Role:
  • As anSEN Teacher, you will teach small groups of secondary-aged learners with complex needs.
  • Deliver acreative, sensory and differentiated curriculumthat promotes engagement, independence and communication.
  • Work closely with a strong team of support staff, therapists and senior leaders to meet each student's EHCP targets.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment where every student feels valued and supported.
The IdealSEN Teacher:
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and previous experience within an SEN or complex needs setting.
  • Confident in using communication strategies such as PECS, Makaton or AAC.
  • A team player who is proactive, compassionate and resilient.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and a child-centred approach.
