Due to continued expansion Great Oaks School requires an SEN class teacher from January 2026. Great Oaks is a Southampton secondary specialist school catering for young people with a range of complex learning difficulties.
The post is likely to be with a class of children with severe (on our Pathway 1 Curriculum Pathway). Experience of working with children with SEND in the mainstream or specialist school sector is therefore essential. You will be required to teach all the subjects on the curriculum. Full-time and part-time applications will be considered; please indicate on the application if you are seeking part-time work. Great Oaks is part of the Specialist Schools Trust which also includes Rosewood Free School.
