Please be aware this is a Long Term Temporary post to start ASAP.

Manage a caseload of children in need, at risk of significant harm, or looked after, adhering to legislative and procedural requirements to ensure the best outcomes for children.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct procedurally compliant assessments and section 47 enquiries to identify levels and types of risk or need based on documented evidence.
  2. Record and analyze information gathered during social care assessments in line with policies, guidance, and best practices.
  3. Develop clear, actionable plans addressing the issues identified for children in Doncaster.
  4. Practice with a clear understanding of relevant legislative principles, current research, case law, and guidance.
  5. Engage with children, carers, and families to understand their circumstances, wishes, and feelings, forming conclusions that guide long-term interventions in the child's best interests.
  6. Participate in recording children’s contacts and referrals to understand the issues, urgency, risk level, and necessary actions.
