Overview

Prospero Health and Social Care is recruiting experienced staff for floating supports for Children in the Sheffield and surrounding areas. Everyday is different and you will face new challenges. We need staff with a can-do attitude who are willing to go above and beyond for the children in their care to better their lives, promoting independence, being a role model and achieving a successful home environment for them to live, in line with local authority care plan.

Responsibilities
  • Provide floating support to Children and Young People in line with local authority care plans
  • Promote independence and act as a positive role model
  • Contribute to a stable and supportive home environment for children
Requirements
  • 12 months paid experience within the health and social care sector
  • Previous experience in a support worker, youth work is essential
  • Flexible around travel arrangements
  • Able to work flexibly, including weekends and night shifts when required (good availability)
  • Resilient and empathetic, with a strong commitment to helping vulnerable young people
  • NVQ Level 3 in children and young people (desired but not essential)
  • Social Care registered
Experience
  • Children and Young People Support: 1 year (required)
  • Experience with children in community settings
Licence/Certification
  • Driving Licence (preferred)
